At Scent Society, we only ask for what we need to get your order to you and look after you well. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to scentsociety.com.au and is written to meet the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you shop or get in touch we may collect your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number, order details, and communications you send us. When you pay, your payment is handled by our payment providers; we receive confirmation of the transaction but we do not see or store your full card number. We also collect some technical information automatically, such as device, browser and pages viewed, through cookies and analytics.

How we use it

To process and deliver your order, provide tracking and support, respond to your messages, prevent fraud, meet our legal obligations, and improve the store. With your consent, we may send you marketing about new fragrances and drops. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers who help us run the store, for example our ecommerce platform, our payment providers, Australia Post for delivery, and our email and analytics tools. We may disclose information where required by law. We never sell your personal information.

Overseas storage

Some of our providers may store data on servers outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

We use cookies to keep your cart working, understand how the store is used, and, with consent where required, support marketing. You can manage cookies in your browser settings.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
